Back To Reality

This is cabin from top of driveway
This is kitchen and front entrance way. So far....
This is the before of the living room at Andersons... READY???
This is the after.
And after.
Well... the welcome home has worn off and reality has definately set in. This weekend Wade went out to the cabin to help finish (hopefully) off the drywall and sanding. Also unloaded our "great find" cabinets. All of us girls and mom ... and the bambinos will be painting the week after the long weekend. Should be lots of fun.. I'll keep you posted on how much of the paint got on the walls... Also this week we're finishing up at Duane and Donna Anderson's. We haven't wanted to complete this project too fast as we've enjoyed spending time with them, our "Calgary" family... Anyways I just had to boast and put up some pics of the project as I'm so proud of my hubby.. Such a talented guy. The "To Do" list around the house just got a lot longer and more interesting.

Home Sweet Home

Well... home again home again... and loving it. What a beautiful sight to see the Rockies as we descended from the clouds. I guess thats how you know that you're settled where you live and loving where you live... When the faint lights of home look better than the palm tree strewn beach of Hawaii. Wade and I were happy to see our bed ... and we thought Isaac would be excited to see his too... (his room was happy to have a little camper in it).. but... He kind of got used to bunking in with mom and dad and he's not so fond of being on his own now. And this time he can climb up the bars of his crib... wow.. how did that happen so fast.

5....4....3....2....1.... Days Until We Come Home

So we're down to the count with only a few days left and still .. yes hard to believe there are places on this beautiful island we haven't discovered. Thursday we went up to Waipio' Valley.. A beautiful place with amazing scenery and the best black sand beach.

Friday was another gorgeous day in Kona . It started off at 8:30 in the morning with our tennis lesson from Teddy. My favorite line of the lesson was ... "you diggin' it".. We have great intentions of keeping up this super fun sport when we get home.

And we finished off the day with a date.. Wade and I. We left Isaac in the vehicle. JOKING>.. Renee and co so kindly babysat him for us. ... He was pretty excited to go and play with his friends.. while mom and dad visited the "Royal Thai Cafe" an excellent place for great Thai food. Followed up at the BerryGalete - an awesome place for crepes (with fresh fruit and whipped cream) for desert. And then followed by the sunset... "AAAAHHHH" and then some hula dancing.

And so day 4 has ended... Every day is a great day on the Island they say.

Magic Sand Beach

Family Day... Yeah... So we discovered this beautiful "white sand" beach. Truly a rarity on this island. Anyways we couldn't resist.. Aren't those just the most delicious buns you ever saw.. I think we are the first parents with a camera. We're coming home on Friday and very excited actually. Its wonderful when home looks good.

We Think He's The Cutest

I know.. I know.. you've seen enough of our little man.. But here's one more. We couldn't resist.

He's 7 mths old now and 19 lbs of endless energy and motion. oh.. and smiles. We're sad that his 2 tooth grin is gone ... replaced by his 4 tooth one.

Another Great Weekend

It started out with supper at the Fabulous "Ruth Chris' Steakhouse"... Not to be mistaken with any other steak house. Amazing meat cooked in their oven at 1800 degrees then served on plates sizzling at 500 degrees and man are they amazing.. And the quantities were HUGE... in the amazing area of Mauna Loni.. where the stars go to stay.

Next. Surfing, Snorkeling and Spear Fishing at Pine Trees until noon. Sun was beautiful, waves crashing against the shore - relaxing and men emerging from the water with supper... (sweeet). Looking forward to Sunday.

Lifes A Beach

What can we say.... life's a "beach"... We were lucky today. Went down to Waikoloa Village today and to "A Bay".. It is a nicer beach on the island and had a marvelous day.. We are soooo in love with our little man and its actually getting sad how fast he's growing up. We just can't believe it. He loves life and practically about everything in it. Anyways today finally i am ready to go home... Actually tidied up the suitcase even. Home does look good. Anyways we have 10 days to go... So we'll enjoy every day now. Still having lots of fun with Darren and the kids too. Jamie is such a smart, polite, fun little boy and Sophia is a virtual energizer bunny with the best, most mischievious little smile. Miss you all.. Hugs . Us

This is what Saturdays are For...

First we layed around in bed and had a little snuggle... then went and enjoyed the sunshine by the pool... then napped... and then finished up the day with a game of tennis.. OK.. most of the day was lazing around but for some reason at the end of the day ... we're still tired. All except for Isaac that is. He's still raring to go.. Nanny... Nanny.. rats. we don't have one.. Have a great night. Hugs... us

P.S. Talked to my good friend Robin today.. She is officially Robin Tomlinson. Wow.. lots of amazing changes this year. The 3 musketeers have come full circle.

Hello World

Well... we'll see how this goes.. This is our first try at the diary of our life. Yeah. Currently we're in Hawaii basking in the sunshine and all this beautiful island has to offer while spending the best quality time ever... Cuddling and napping on the couch. Does it get any better??? Me and my two men.
Someday it will not matter how big my house is, how much money is in the bank, or where i have travelled.. only that I have been important in the life of a child...
