The Big PARTY...

So its one of those things that all "Good " Parents do for their kids... Ok.. maybe just parents. We feel that for our children to really have fulfilling and enriched lives we must throw them a big party when they turn 1... We feel that they will also get the concept of gifts that they get to rip into, and cake that they for some reason "this" time get to smuch... Anyways here is Isaac's party .. Joining us were 35 of some very special friends, close family and cousins from afar. He really did have a good time and the sugar rush only took until 2 am to wear off. The black eye??? We're not sure how that happened... Some wild party he had with some women the night before... we think (really while i was at the "clothes swaP" at Preya's house he decided to try a back flip down the stairs.. Hit once and then landed in a basket full of clothes... Handy to have around really.. Try that one out on your husband next time.. Anyways this 1st birthday party is gone forever and with it some very happy and fun memories...

Our Baby is 1...

10 Days Old...
2 Weeks Old....
6 Months Old...
9 Months Old...
1 Year Old...
It is so hard to believe that 1 year ago today at 4:00 pm Isaac Archer Stewart entered our world... and changed it forever. What's it like being a parent.. Well for one we are blessed with an encredibly happy and wonderful little boy. We just can't get enough of him. He is affectionate, warm, endearing to anyone really and so so willing to make you smile. He keeps us on the run... literally as he's no longer content to walk... but must run. He embraces life with his huge smile and would just love it if you'd smile back at him. Would we trade him for a billion bucks... No way. Last nite as I was putting him to sleep I actually got tears in my eyes as he gazes up at me and wraps his little arms around my neck, puts his head on my chest, sighs deeply and goes to sleep. I had no idea that 2 men could share my heart... But alas they are. I apologize to any of you non parents that have had to endure our endless chatter about him... we promised we wouldn't bore you with it - but its hard not to. Anyways we have learned to treasure each day... because they do go by so fast...

Extra Long Weekend in Vancouver

As life in our household has been a bit busy lately... we couldn't let the opportunity pass by to spend a few extra days in the Vancouver area ... enjoying the sites, sounds .... and well frankly... each other. Thursday we spent the day at the Vancouver Aquariam... a very neat place. Isaac was enthralled with all the animals and fishes... Friday was spent on Granville Island with Tyler and Sara, followed up by the set up for the Plews wedding. Sunday we headed down to Seattle to see Darren, and the kids.. Jamie and Sophia. We just had to get some hugs in and wish Jamie a very HAPPY... 7th birthday. We spent Monday with Auntie Annabelle as well... a Bonus.. Darren took us to Snoquamie Mountain where we road a train through the mountain, and hit the outlet mall for 30 minutes... (yep... that's all I got - and the dollar was at par...) Oh well... The companionship was better than the shopping... We topped all these events off by a truly AMAZING supper at Uncle Bryan and Auntie Shelly Leonhardts... Where an inspiration visit was had... We hardly wanted to come home... Apparently though our house missed us... The hot water heater stopped and the Fridge... kaputt... oh well...

It's like.... "MAGIC"

What else can you say when you look at these two beautiful people, so in love... but its "Magic". We were priviledged enough to be invited to Tim and Krista Plews wedding in Vancouver BC. Sept 1.07. It was a truly unique venue with an art gallery like feel - featuring art from New Zealand... A land we all came to love by the end of the evening. And not to be disappointed by the Bride... the designer EXTRAORDINAIRE... it was amazing. The love in the grooms eyes as he saw his bride, and the adoration in the brides face when she looked at her groom.. added to all that was the unfailing support of both totally Great parents... who could ask for more... Brang some tears to these eyes...
Someday it will not matter how big my house is, how much money is in the bank, or where i have travelled.. only that I have been important in the life of a child...
