Brooke Turns 2

I cannot believe that 2 years has gone by since she has joined our lives.. She continues to thrill us, and give us countless smiles.. Her brothers protect her, her dad spoils her, and her momma LOVES her.. I feel incredibly blessed to be able to experience having boys and a girl.. She has become my little shadow, and hardly ever leaves my side.. She's recently started this little bed time game where you lay her down and she stands up and demands a "Hug"... and on and on it goes.. and when you finally try and leave the room .. then she asks for "Sunshine".. and you sing it to her and she happily rolls over and goes to sleep.. sigh... These are the moments... I have never seen my husband so in awe... (oh he was very in love with the boys but this father-daughter thing has completely changed him.. ) It really is an incredible journey.. Her birthday will likely always be spent at the lake.. so this year we had two parties.. One with her cousins, aunts and uncles and one with all her 'besties'... I had a lot of fun dragging out my grandma's old china for it.. Brooke kept telling me as i was setting it up.. "pretty momma pretty"..  The one thing we have learnt is that Brooke doesn't like being the centre of attention..

Jace Turns 3!!

'

Just another day at home... with "special" grilled cheezzzz sandwiches.. And THEN.. when interviewed a couple of months back what he wanted for his birthday .. without hesitation he said.. "A birfday party at chucky cheezz with some wittle boys.. Unfortunately all the wittle boys his age were either sick, or out of town. :( Anyways we had a fabulous family party with Chucky Cheese'.. A very 'kid' friendly birthday party.. and when i say kid friendly i mean.. lights, lots of noise, games, falling tickets from the sky for more games, a big stuffed mouse, cake, metals and everything that makes a little kid feel special...

He enjoyed it a lot.. And in his prayers that night a big prayer for Chucky was even included :)
Someday it will not matter how big my house is, how much money is in the bank, or where i have travelled.. only that I have been important in the life of a child...
