We love the snow...

At the close of a very eventful year we are slightly reminiscent of all that happened. Many memories of all types flood our brains. But the time most enjoyed and that brings us the most joy is time spent with our family... We spent Christmas 2008 tucked away for a week in a winter WONDERLAND out at Grandma & Poppa Johnson's cabin in BC. With snow gently falling all week it made for some great times... Added to the feeling of a winter resort was their new addition of a hot tub... The boys were quite fond of going "swimming" many times a day... and playing outside with a grandma whose energy never ran out, and then "tubbing" and cuddling and reading stories with Poppa. Not to mention all the cousins ... to play with (and fight with )...

Sorry for the lack of updates... I haven't been able to upload any of our Thanksgiving pics so haven't bothered with any updates either... We are fully settled in to our new house already... It feels so much like home... and to Isaac it is still our "new Home" .. wonder how long that will last. Anyways in an attempt to get some pics of the kids to send out with a little "holiday" letter - here is one of Jace... If he wasn't already mine - I'd STEAL him... Check it out.  (5 mths)

Thanksgiving 2008

Thanksgiving found us with Wade's family in Guananoche ON ... A special time touring the Thousand Islands, Hart Island, and other amazing sights. If you haven't been its a MUST SEE... The fall colors were all out in all their brilliance.  We feel especially aware this year that we have so much to be thankful for.  Its 2 smiling faces that greet you with giggles in the morning , and a little 2 year old who just can't hug or kiss his brother enough... or comes up to his mom and says "Mom.. uggg"... Who never tires of his "Happy Dance" when his dad arrives home from work.  Its a man who works soo hard to provide for his family and almost always leaves in the morning whistling. Its a very special little baby (who we can't imagine life without) who just sits and watches you with his mega watt smile on hold - waiting to catch your eye to give you his HUGE smile...  I've been inspired by a quote that I saw just the other day...

" The most important work you and I will ever do... will be within the walls of our own Homes"

So to everyone who has touched our lives... we are thankful to you.. for enriching and encouraging us...

Welcome Home Gramma & Poppa - LobsterFest!!

The Lobsters... Alive and Scratching...
It's a messy sport...
YUMMMMMM
Isaac's not so sure he's a fan...

Gramma and Poppa Johnson were gone on their tour of the East Coast for 5 weeks... They had such a good time we were starting to get worried they weren't coming back... Anyways here is their welcome home party.. aka "The Last Supper" (at our old house), we were so excited to see them we decided to have LOBSTER.... joking. They brought them back with them... alive and well.... Delicious...

Weekend at the Rimrock

What to do when life is overwhelming.. (ok..trying to pack up an entire house with 2 little boys is overwhelming)... head off for a weekend to Banff... maybe its the hot coco beside a huge roaring fire, or maybe its the Bernard Callebeaut chocolates on your bed at nite, or maybe its soaking in the hot spa, the breathtaking view from your hotel window... or maybe its just waking up on a lazy Saturday morning with all your boys giggling and cuddling that does it... we're not really sure but think it is HEAVENLY!!! We also went to the park that afternoon and tried to take a few more pictures... thankfully i have a very co-operative hubby, and two kids well... that are just too gosh darn cute. (ok at least i think so - and thank you for going along with me... you're great friends)

A week and half with Jace out of the hospital we went for his weekly echo at the Children's Hospital and they thought he looked great... So we packed up and headed out for a week at the lake. Katrina and the kids were there, along with Grandma and Grandpa, Marci and her kids came for the weekend along with Curtis, and Wade.. We had a super time. The boys were very easy... as were all the kids.. When you have a sand box, and the lake really what else do you need??? It felt great to enjoy a bit of the summer out doors. This was really the first time at the cabin where we didn't do any work... Besides holding the deck down.. (its a tough job but somebody has to do it.. )
