Boys Gone Fishing 2012

Boys only!! (ok Isaac told me I could come.. I'm sure that will change) A canoeing/camping/fishing trip with just the boys. What FUn!!  I think its becoming a ritual:)

Grandpa Grandpa Visit

Asher got to visit "Grandpa Grandpa" as my kids call him.. It was super special. It has been almost 2 years since our last visit and he is the same.. Still the kindest, most thankful man i know.. We love him!!
The 94 year old got to meet the 4 month old.. Wonder how things will change in 90 years... Hopefully Asher will get some of his 'kind and thankful' genes.. :)

Terrible Two.. Almost Three

She still has her very sweet moments (obviously :) but she has decided on some days to be terrible :( Thank goodness she still likes to cuddle... We'll still keep her.

Its a ritual.. Almost a religion at our House.. Story Time!! This particular day Isaac wanted to read Asher the book.. (he may know it by heart - we're saying he can read:)

Fun Filled Week

We have successfully completed our first FULL week at home.. And we loved it.. (Asher has had 2 recent stays at the Children's Hospital.. the first week was for RSV, and the 2nd was for a Gastro Infection).. He seems to be stronger and healthier and is thriving at home...Our cousins were here and we did it up!!! Besides playing on the climbing wall, and hockey, trips to the Hidden Hut for skating and Toboganning (all of which were undocumented :( we also took in the new 'Penguin Plunge' at the Zoo - it was a cooler day for it , -8 but we only ended up waiting in line for an hour, and a Hockey Game at the saddledome..   YEP.. That's 9 kids under 9.. How's that for CRAZY:)

Heartfelt Thanks

Since having Asher i feel incredibly unworthy of all of our amazing family & friends.. We have been spoilt with meals, and freezer items, and school bus drop offs, and visits and cuddles.. A girl couldn't get luckier.. :)

Sorry for the lack of posts and updates.. We've just been enjoying 'baby' too much.. (that's what the kids call him:) He couldn't be more spoilt.. The other kids even fight over his glances.. "He looked at me first"..

Asher Jag Stewart

He arrived at 1 am on Friday the 13th.. Our very own good luck charm..
6 lbs, 1 oz. 20 " long.. We feel incredibly blessed and he completes us..

Skating 2011

Yeah its back!!! Skating season that is.. My boys couldnt be more excited.. and Brooke has joined in.. This was her first time on skates and she wins hands down for determination!!! (No pictures of Isaac as he was never still long enough to capture :) The best part is that this little rink is in our neighborhood and right where we pick up Isaac from the bus , so we've been trying to go as many days after school as possible..

(the last couple of days have been too warm and this 'fat' momma didnt want no fireman dragging her butt out of the bottom of the pond :(

Banff 2011

We had high hopes of this little get-a-way being called "Arizona 2011, or Mexico 2011" but alas.. Wade has been really swamped with a bunch of projects lately and we just couldn't get away before my "no fly" date..  He finally gave me the go ahead to book us away for the weekend.. And Banff didnt disappoint.. Pool ... Board games with the kids in front of the hotel fire... Ice carving.. Hot Chocolate... Berries and CREAM... and the Santa Claus parade.. Thanks for the good time.. We'll be back :)

Holiday Cards

It does not get easier!!! Not wanting to spend the money for a 'family' picture thats going to change with a new member in under 2 months i attempted to get a shot of my three little ' cuties' :) This was even with bribery:)!!! Definately not a one person job and perhaps i need to offer better treats!!

BTW... this is Jace's new "BIG SMILE".. He opens his eyes really big and says that he's smiling big.. :(

Halloween Pumpkin Carving

Local realtor giving out pumpkins!!! We ended up with 3.. HOW GREAT :) Whoever dreamed that this was a great thing to do with your children.... was CRAZY... Anyways the enthusiasm was definately there at the beginning. We were going to attempt to do the kids hands on each of their pumpkins.. I risked my own life wielding the super sharp knife to penetrate these suckers... All in all the kids had a blast..(and only the tablecloth had to lose its life)

Hockey Season 2011 - 2012

Yep.. our basement is officially 1/2 a hockey rink.. And so far... we're loving it!!
(ok.. i know the center face off circle is a bit off.. but hey.. give this girl a break:)

Bedtime With Daddy.....

We love it.. wished it happened more... (but it's quite the procedure so maybe its a good thing its a treat :)

First we gather all the 'stuffies' as Isaac calls them...

Then they each get a book ...

Then... its a horsey ride to the stable... (this should actually happen first because by the time this is done... its a rodeo:)

And i ... hit the bath with a snack and a good book... and a happy smile at all the giggling.....

A new addition is the "I love you".. "i love you 2"... i love you 3... i love you 4... i love you More".. (its the best by far)

Isaac Turns 5!!!

It seems surreal somehow that its already been 5 years since we became parents... (somehow i thought i'd have more figured out by now :( He has honestly been an easy kid. He is  kind, and wants to do whats right and is so horrified now days if he gets in trouble....  He is timid and shy, but a great friend once he warms up to you. He loves a good back rub at the end of the day (but is very specific about how you do it:)  We love his shy little smile, and how right now he gets off the bus and is ok with a big hug...  He's been asking to go and see the horses jump so we went to Spruce Meadows with some of our closest friends for his birthday.. It was the perfect afternoon, hot and sunny, and the evening was beautiful too. Us moms went at 3 and the dads joined us for supper and the fireworks show later in the evening.. (unfortunately i forgot my camera.. in trying to pack snacks, the cupcakes,candles, and treat bags :(
Now he thinks all birthdays should happen there and that they did the fireworks just for his birthday.... (of course they did :)
His favorite was the jumping and the dog races.. and he told me next time we could skip the part where the horses go around in a circle to music.. (the RCMP musical ride ... he didnt seem to care they spent all year practicing this routine ...

Oh Baby Baby

Who can say when we start loving a child... But i do know that this first glimpse never fails to bring tears to my eyes...
